Nagzira wildlife santury is located between Bhandara District and Gondia Disrict of Maharashtra at. 152.41 sq.km.is an important coridor that links southern and central forested areas like the Tadoba-Andhari and Kanha Tiger Reserves. they are rarely semi-evergreen is hot season more or less without leaves. Nagzira is offen reffered to as the 'Green Oasis of Vidharbha.
In Sanskrit Naag Means Elephant. Because of the roaming Elephants this jungle named as Nagzira.But now there is only one elephant ‘RUPA’ This jungle is spread across 152.81 Sq. Kms. It is one of the main Corridor between Kanha and Tadoba Forest. In 2012 Maharashtra Govt. declared this area as ‘Save Tiger Project’.This jungle is a part of Satpuda Mountains and it gets dence towords ‘Gaysuri Tekadi’Nagzira is famous as ‘Green Oasis’ of Vidharbh.
